- Introductory Module
This essential module covers provides the foundation of knowledge required to perform ultrasound.
- Abdominal Aortic Aneurysm (AAA)
This teaches the user how to measure the diameter of the abdominal aorta.
- Trauma Ultrasound - EFAST
We cover the use of ultrasound in trauma including FAST - abdominal free fluid and pericardial effusion, haemothorax, pneumothorax and fracture detection.
- Early Pregnancy
This introductory module enables the user to assess for the presence (or absence) of an intrauterine pregnancy.
- Later Pregnancy
This module covers basic ultrasound in the second and third trimesters. Including fetal position and presentation, fluid volume assessment, placental site, the cervix, fetal viability and dating a pregnancy.
- Basic Procedural Ultrasound
This module explains how to direct a needle into a target using ultrasound guidance. Vascular access, nerve blocks, pleural and ascitic taps, joint aspiration etc
- Emergency Echo
This module will cover the basic assessment of the hypotensive or shocked patient where the cause is uncertain.
- Lung Ultrasound
This introductory module on lung ultrasound will cover ultrasound of the normal lung, lung artefacts, pneumothorax, pneumonia , CCF, interstitial lung disorders, ultrasound guided lung procedures.
- Paediatric Forearm Fractures
These lectures explain how to perform and interpret paediatric forearm ultrasound in the search for distal forearm fractures.
